Styrofoam Spiders

These Spiders are so cute and simple to make.

Here is what is needed:

1.First the kids painted their styrofoam ball a color of choice.
2.After they dried the kids then put 4 pipecleaners on each side for the legs.( I cut 4 pipecleaners in half to make 8 legs).
3.Then they glued the googley eyes on.
4.Then they glued on tiny pom poms for the mouth.

Mouse's First Fall

Mouse's First Fall by Lauren Thompson. One cool day Mouse and Minka venture out to play. From leaves of all colors — Red, Yellow, Orange, and Brown — to leaves of all shapes and sizes — from pointy to round — Mouse learns that fall is a season full of fun! And before the day is done he just might take the biggest "leap" of all.

After reading the book we made Handprint Fall Trees we found on Handprint and Footprint Art.

I Like Myself

I Like Myself by Karen Beaumont is high on energy and imagination, this ode to self-esteem encourages kids to appreciate everything about themselves—inside and out.

After reading the book we talked about what we liked about ourselves and how everyone is different, then we made All About Me books.
